Decline in number of BPL families: Survey
Maharashtra's first ever-scientific survey pegs poverty between 18-21 per cent, a declining trend for the state that only a decade ago reported one of the highest poverty levels in the country. Nearly five decades after its formation, Maharashtra has come out with its first ever scientifically designed survey to measure poverty in the state.
