Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar joined the Dettol NDTV Clean India campaign today saying that it was an honour when he was nominated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Swachh Bharat Campaign and there was no question of thinking over it. Sachin, who cleaned a footpath in the Mumbai suburb of Bandra, said it was a satisfying feeling when an elderly person thanked him for restoring the footpath they can now walk on. Sachin also made an emphatic plea to all Indians to dedicate an hour a year to clean a place and it will go a long way. The Swachh Ambassador also added that it's a no-brainer that if you won't spit in front of your house, why spit in front of someone else's. Taking on the mindset of looking down on the 'safai karamcharis', Sachin said they are the people trying to keep the country clean while we dirty it.
