It was Monday mayhem for commuters on the national capital's roads, with a section of taxi drivers protesting a Supreme Court decision to ban cabs operating on diesel and petrol. The protests and blockages led to major traffic jam across the national capital, with vehicles lined up behind one another for up to 1 km, an official said. Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said the government will ask the Supreme Court to reconsider a ban on diesel cabs that has pulled nearly 30,000 taxis off the roads.
