Asaduddin Owaisi, the chief of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM), held a rally in Okhla's Shaheen Bagh and a roadshow in Batla House to rally support for his party's candidate, Delhi riots accused Shifa Ur-Rahman. During his address, Owaisi lashed out at Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for failing to bring any meaningful development to the Okhla constituency over the last decade. Owaisi also raised questions about Kejriwal's eligibility to contest elections, pointing out the contradiction of granting bail to political figures while accusing others of riot-related offenses.
