Delhi gang-rape: A state failure?
On #TheSocialNetwork 6.30 pm today we discussed the case of a student gang-raped on a Delhi bus before she and her male friend were beaten with an iron rod and thrown out of the moving bus last night. We discussed if the incident reflected a multi-pronged failure on part of the State, the authorities and the public, to provide women safety. We discussed the outrage on the Web directed against the state and public apathy towards crimes against women that are only rising in our cities.
