The BJP made a thumping comeback in Delhi after nearly 27 years. It delivered a decisive blow to the Aam Aadmi Party in a sweeping victory that further expanded its footprint across the country. The BJP secured 48 out of 70 seats, while AAP was reduced to just 22. The Congress, once a dominant force in Delhi, drew a blank for the third consecutive assembly election. AAP veteran and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was defeated in Jangpura, while party chief Arvind Kejriwal lost New Delhi.
