Delhi's Durga Puja Revellers Are Doing Their Bit For The Environment This Year

In Delhi's Bengali hub of Chittaranjan Park, the pandals are buzzing with people and the sounds of dhaak. One of the pandals uses eco-friendly clay and paints that are bio-degradable. The residents say they will not head to a river for immersion of the Durga idol. A pond is dug out in the park where the idols will be immersed and later used as a compost site. The frame of the idols and stage is returned to the artists to be reused.
