Delhi Welfare Officer Turns 'Predator' : Where Did We Go Wrong?
The teen girl raped multiple times allegedly by now-suspended senior Delhi government official Premoday Khakha was drugged before each act of sexual abuse and, on one instance, woke up to injuries on her body, police sources said as more details emerge of this shocking crime. Police sources also said the young girl - then all of 14 - was depressed after her father died in 2020. According to the police, she was packed off to Khakha's home in northeast Delhi's Burari by her mother two weeks after her father's death and just days later, the young girl - traumatised by her father's death - was raped on October 31, 2020. The mother said the accused had assured that her daughter she would be safe in his care.
