A school in Northeast Delhi's Shiv Vihar, Rajdhani Senior Secondary School was vandalised and then used as a base to attack the adjacent school and the locality for two days. On Monday, classes at the Rajdhani Senior Secondary School where 1,300 children study got over by 2pm. Around 4:30 pm the school was attacked by a mob that kept it under siege for the next 60 hours. Rajdhani School was then used to lay down ropes from its terrace and enter the adjacent building of DRP School which was set on fire. The furniture, the charred classrooms and broken blackboards bear testimony to the scale of the violence. Both school owners say they called the police. NDTV investigated how the police responded to the SOS calls. The violence might have subsided but the daily life of hundreds of young children has been upturned. Schooling apart, a crash course in such trauma is the last thing any parent imagines.
