Farmers in northern India are marching again. In response to the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha's ongoing "Delhi Chalo" agitation, Union Ministers Arjun Munda, Piyush Goyal and Nityanand Rai met farmer representatives in Chandigarh this evening. A virtual meeting was held between the farmers and representatives from the central government on Wednesday. The protest was started to put pressure on the Centre for the farmers' demands, including a law on a minimum support price (MSP) for crops and loan waivers. Now the protest is generating more noise due to restrictions on highways than the actual nuances of agricultural policy in India.
