"This is not about uniform. If we are arguing that students need to look alike - that's not happening with our morning religious prayers or our teachers wearing manga sutras and sindoor and with Sikh students wearing turbans. We are all different. A democracy celebrates differences, it doesn't attack them," said radio jockey Sayema Rahman.
