Ousted former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has issued a strong condemnation of the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus, highlighting the violence against the Hindu community following the arrest of former ISKCON priest Chinmoy Krishna Das. Ms Hasina's statement comes amid reports of increasing assaults on minorities, which have triggered a significant diplomatic response from India. In Parliament, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) made a clear statement on the matter, emphasising that Bangladesh has a responsibility to safeguard the lives and properties of all its citizens, particularly minorities. The Indian government has expressed deep concern over the situation, urging Dhaka to take immediate action to restore peace and order.
