Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury demanded the Prime Minister's presence in the Lok Sabha for a discussion on the ethnic violence in Manipur. "We have been demanding a discussion on Manipur in parliament from the very beginning. We have been saying that the country's Prime Minister should come to the parliament and start the discussion. We have never raised any doubts on the capabilities of Home Minister Amit Shah. But how will the police answer questions that need a response from the District Collector? Hence, we have been asking the PM to come," Mr Chowdhury said.
