Divided Election Commission back at work
Just a few days after news broke of how Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalaswami wanted his colleague -- the Election Commissioner Navin Chawla -- to be sacked, the Chief Election Commissioner and Navin Chawla made a public appearance on Tuesday. The smiles in front of cameras were hardly enough to cover the fact that the Election Commission is in the midst of a huge crisis. On Tuesday, political parties went on record saying they want proper, unbiased elections. It is now up to the EC to deliver.
