DMK Demands CBI Inquiry Into Jayalalithaa's Death
Opposition DMK today stuck to its demand of a CBI probe into the death of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, saying the inquiry commission set up by the Tamil Nadu government would not serve the purpose. In a statement, DMK Working President MK Stalin said, "There will be no benefit from the inquiry commission announced by the state government." The government earlier in the day set up an inquiry commission and named Justice (Retd) Arumugasamy as its head.
