DMK Set To Sweep Tamil Nadu Local Polls, Chief Minister Thanks Voters
The DMK is set to sweep local body elections in nine newly constituted districts of Tamil Nadu. Counting of votes, which began 8 am Tuesday, is expected to conclude at noon today. Chief Minister MK Stalin has thanked voters for the result and called it an endorsement of the first five months of his party's government. "We will work even harder... will protect the confidence people have in us," the Chief Minister said.
