On being asked at the NDTV conclave about the strengthening of regional touch in movies, Tigmanshu Dhulia said, "This has always been there. Sholay, Lagaan, all were shot in Awadhi. You cannot escape it. If you want to give birth to a rooted film, set in North, then you have to make use of the Awadhi language."
