Does BJP Embolden Cow Vigilantism?
The Lok Sabha saw a heated debate on the killings by cow vigilantes. The BJP, confronted with accusations that it has incited cow related violence stuck to its official line that it has condemned such violence, and that these murders and attacks, should not be given a political colour. The government also went on to say that controlling violence is a state subject. We've seen an increase in 'Gau Raksha' violence since May 2014. Has the BJP emboldened cow vigilantism?
