An unusual figure is walking the streets of the temple town of Madurai, asking motorcyclists not to give him work to do. That figure is none other than Yama, the Lord of Death - artistes dressed up as him anyway - raising awareness of a recent Madras High Court ruling making helmets compulsory for all two-wheeler users from July 1.
