Former US vice president and climate crusader Al Gore hosted a 24-hour broadcast special on climate change to coincide with climate negotiations in Poland during the 24th Conference of the Parties (COP24) . NDTV hosted one hour of the show from Delhi. Mr Gore spoke to NDTV about the US role in COP24 given that President Donald Trump has said the US is exiting the Paris agreement. He said the world shouldn't give up on the US and after the next Presidential elections, Mr Trump's decision can be reversed. He also said India is one of the countries that has been affected by rising temperatures, even the recent devastating Kerala floods were a result of rising extreme weather events. He said India can also create solutions for some of the health challenges caused by air pollution.
