'Don't Make Us a Proxy War Battleground': Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to NDTV
Afghanistan should be a platform for regional and global cooperation and not a proxy war battleground, President Ashraf Ghani tells NDTV in Kabul. Speaking before his first official state visit, Mr Ghani clearly indicated that it was Pakistan that had been preying on a weak neighbour, not India. He added, if people continued to play short-sighted games, it would have medium to long term devastating consequences.
