Double standards for domestic helps?
Much of the debate over the arrest of an Indian diplomat in New York for visa fraud over her hiring of a maid from India has centered on whether the domestic help was indeed abused - or was actually leading a life much better than she would have led in India. And central to that debate is what is considered fair treatment of a much-abused segment of our society.
