DTH operators to pay higher rates for content following SC order
India's DTH operators will have to cough up higher rates for content following an interim order from the Supreme Court. The court has stayed broadcast tribunal TDSAT's order on tariffs charged by broadcasters from DTH operators. DTH companies will now have to pay 42 per cent of the cable price charged by broadcasters vis-a-vis 35 per cent as mooted by TRAI.
