EC announces poll dates for J&K Assembly
The Election Commission has announced the poll dates for Assembly election in Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, the Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalaswamy said, "The Commission has decided that elections will be held in seven phases in J&K and first phase will begin on November 17." "The second phase of elections will be held on November 23, the third phase on November 30 and the fourth phase will be held on December 7," he said.
