A startling revelation made in the 2013 education report was the fact that close to 50% of India's graduates are unemployable. Industry experts have been consistently highlighting the gap that exists between what is taught in schools and colleges and the requirements of the industry. As a result not just the government but corporates have also come forward to skill country's youth. The government has set a goal of skilling 500 million by 2022. We spoke with Roshni Nadar on the launch of HCL's Talent Care and discussed the issues associated with skilling along with various aspects of HCL's initiative.
