Jammu and Kashmir is set for the second phase of assembly elections on September 25 after a turnout of over 61 per cent in the first phase. In the second phase, the election will take place in 26 assembly segments including 11 seats from three districts of Jammu. Meanwhile, the political dangal in Haryana seems all set with Congress leaders Bhupinder Hooda and Kumari Selja making interesting statements ahead of the polls. Jobs, Agniveers, women and farmers continue to be targets of political parties contesting for the 90-seat Haryana Assembly. The elections will be held on October 5. BJP is seeking a third consecutive term in Haryana after its government was reduced to a minority after the withdrawal of ally JJP and Independent MLAs' support in May. In March, the BJP changed its Chief Minister, replacing Manohar Lal with Nayab Saini - an Other Backward Caste (OBC) leader. Challenging the BJP is its old opponent Congress which is riding on its momentum of winning five of the 10 Lok Sabha seats in June. But is all well within the Congress party? Today Sirsa MP Kumari Selja spoke to NDTV about the alleged fault lines in the party unit. She said she was a loyal soldier of the party.
