Elephant Strays Into Bengal University Campus, Turns Peaceful Night Into Chaos
Humans and their pet dogs taking an after-dinner stroll is a common sight. But an elephant exploring its surroundings in the middle of the night is unusual. But, that's exactly what happened late on Friday night when a wild elephant strayed into the campus of University of North Bengal in Siliguri, West Bengal. What followed, turned a peaceful night for the campus residents into complete chaos. By the time they woke up in the morning, a few walls had been demolished, carts overturned, and their contents scattered across the road.
