Amidst a bitter and public spat between her family and the hospital where she was being treated, Eman Ahmed, once described as the world's heaviest woman, today flew to Abu Dhabi. Saifee Hospital where she was being treated, says they delivered on their promise and brought Eman's weight down by over 300 kilos. But it is a claim her family, has contested. The 37-year-old's sister has said the hospital's claim are bogus and questioned the hospital's claims of her weight loss. Saifee Hospital dismissed the claims as hogwash but it has led to a heated debate on how the script went so badly wrong. Saifee Hospital created headlines when it flew Eman down from Egypt, but now many are questioning if it was merely a publicity stunt. On our show Left, Right and Centre, author Shobha De who has raised similar questions on Eman's treatment in one of her columns hit out at the hospital accusing it of a cover and concealing facts on her treatment. Shaina NC, who has been speaking on behalf of the hospital denied charges it was a PR exercise gone wrong and said the hospital has nothing to hide and is willing to reveal all Eman's tests and detail.
