Enthusiasm High As Voters From Abroad Turn Up At Chennai To Exercise Their Franchise
As Tamil Nadu is polling today as part of the second phase of the national elections, many enthusiastic voters who are otherwise settled outside of the southern state have turned up to exercise their franchise. "I am happy to be here to exercise my civic duty," a young voter who lives in Netherlands tells NDTV. He is optimistic that his vote can make a difference. Enthusiasm is palpable among even senior citizens who say that they cannot shy away from voting. "I want the current trend of change to continue for sometime," a woman tells NDTV.
