Eral riots: Eight get life sentence

A sessions court in Godhra has convicted eleven people and sentenced eight of them to life imprisonment in the Eral killings case during the Gujarat riots of 2002. 29 others have been acquitted. On the March 3, 2002 seven people were killed including 18-year-old Shabana who was raped by the rioters.
