Euro may extend gains to 1.31 levels: Tim Riddell

With risk appetite remaining strong, the euro may extend its gains into the 1.31/$ range. The currency markets will be focused on the ECB meet this Friday and also continue to track developments on US fiscal talks. However, Tim Riddell of ANZ says that the euro market is not yet trading based on newsflow around US fiscal cliff negotiations as traders are awaiting more concrete information on the fine print of the deal.
