"Every Household Saves Average 4% Annually Because Of GST": Nirmala Sitharaman
During the presentation of Union Budget 2020, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the rollout of GST was most historic and a household now saves average 4 per cent annually because of it. "In last two years, we have added more than 60 lakh new taxpayers and above 40 crore returns were filed," she added.
