Lt General DS Hooda (retd), the former Army Commander and planner of the surgical strikes, speaks about how his national security doctrine does not propose scrapping the controversial Armed Forces Special Powers Act. He says submitting the report to the Congress does not mean that he is joining the party. 'National Security,' he says needs to be based on five all-encompassing pillars which go beyond merely enhancing the capability of the armed forces. Lr General Hooda also says the political rhetoric of 'Modiji ki sena' is unfortunate.
