Exemplary penalty needed against cartelisation: CCI chairman
Ashok Chawla, the chairman of Competition Commission of India, speaks to NDTV Profit's Arijit Banerjee about the penalty on cement companies for cartel-like behaviour, which brought the watchdog under the limelight. According to Mr Chawla, once there is enough proof of cartelisation as was in this case, penalty should be exemplary, so that other segments of business prone to cartelisation do not indulge in that activity freely.
