"Expecting An Upward Trend...": DG Of CII Chandrajit Banerjee Hopes High For Budget 2025
Director General of the Confederation of Indian Industry Chandrajit Banerjee, has high hopes for the upcoming budget. He's looking for indicators of upward growth trends, further deregulation, and decriminalization initiatives. On expectations from the budget, Confederation of Indian Industry Director General, Chandrajit Banerjee said, "It is to see how we are focussed on the budget which will indicate an upward trend in terms of growth... Given the economic survey today, we will be expecting an upward trend towards further deregulation which includes things like decriminalisation... I would like to see something focussed on non-agriculture rural jobs... Lastly, how it incentivizes states in India to be focussed not only on fiscal prudence, but also in terms of the ability to generate more capex themselves in terms of infrastructure..."
