Experts discuss last three Finance Ministers and the economy under them
As Pranab Mukherjee stepped down from the finance minister's post today, NDTV Profit takes a look at the last three Finance Ministers and the economy under them. Dr. Surjit Bhalla, Chairman, O[x]us Investments and Indranil Pan, Chief Economist, Kotak Mahindra Bank discuss what were the successes and what were the failures. Bhalla bashes the tenure under Pranab Mukherjee and says when history is written Pranab will go down as one of the worst FMs ever. Pan says Pranab inherited a bad economy and the world in earlier years was awash with liquidity, so it does not make sense to blame Pranab for all the mess.
