Political discourse in India has hit rock bottom, and all the parties are to be blamed equally for it. Earlier this week, Union Minister Ravneet Bittu called the Leader of the Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, a terrorist. This comment triggered a blistering response from the Congress and a war of words with the BJP. A Shiv Sena MLA also made objectionable comments on Rahul Gandhi. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge sent a letter to Prime Minister Modi demanding that he inculcate some discipline in his party leaders and allies. In response to Mr Kharge's letter, BJP president JP Nadda wrote a hard-hitting letter to the Congress President listing all the abuses that the Congress leaders have hurled at Prime Minister Modi over the years.
