Fact Check: Video From Pakistan Shared As Police Official Smoking Cannabis In India's Punjab

A short video of a journalist walking up to an auto rickshaw and confronting a police official sitting inside has been shared with a claim that the official was caught smoking charas (cannabis) in Punjab, a northern state in India.  

The video has been shared on social media ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, questioning the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which is currently in power in Punjab and seeks to retain Delhi in the upcoming polls scheduled for February 5, 2025.

The video is from Punjab in Pakistan, not Punjab in India, and has been used to criticize the AAP-led government in Punjab ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections.
