Factionalism was the main reason for the Congress's defeat in multiple elections in Madhya Pradesh, the party's Jyotiraditya Scindia said, ahead of state elections scheduled to be held at the end of the year. Speaking to NDTV on the campaign trail, Mr Scindia said it would be "facetious" to deny that rivalries between senior party leaders, including Kamal Nath and Digvijaya Singh, have hurt them politically.
