"This incident shows the complete failure of an organisation. These two incidents have tarnished Air India's image. The failure is not just on the part of the cabin crew, but the pilots as well," Captain Mohan Ranganathan, air safety expert, said when asked why an airline wouldn't crack down on unruly passengers.
