Actor Priyanka Chopra spoke to NDTV to lend her star power to give Every Child, A Fair Start - a new UNICEF campaign. Ms Chopra joined a special panel including Stuti Narain Kacker, head of the child rights protection commission, Anand Kumar of Patna's famous Super 30 coaching institute and India's youngest civil services exam topper Tina Dabi. Every child has a right to a fair start irrespective of economic background, religion or gender and although it is the government's responsibility to look after its citizens, we need to fight if we want to see a change in the society, she said.
Speaking on Salman Khan's controversial rape remarks, Priyanka says that everyone knows what is right and what is wrong. Priyanka also defends the rights of artistes to express themselves freely, saying that in a democracy, work of artists can't be dictated and that nowhere in the world is the entertainment industry responsible for morality.
