A computer engineer by training, Sunil Kushwaha started growing apples on his four bigha, or roughly one-hectare, farm in Ghazipur three years ago. Initially, no one believed in him, and in fact, people made fun of him because apples require a temperature between 15 to 25 degrees celsius, whereas temperatures in Ghazipur reach 45 degrees in the summer.
