In a remarkable turn of events, a farmer in the Panna district of Madhya Pradesh, Dilip Mistry, along with his three friends, discovered a 16-carat diamond while sifting through soil in their leased land in Jaruapur. The diamond, estimated to be worth around Rs. 60-65 lakhs, has been deposited at the Panna Diamond Office and will be put up for auction. The farmers have high hopes and expectations from this discovery, planning to expand their quarry and farming business, build their houses, and support their children's future. The proceeds from the auction will go to the owners after deducting government royalty.
