The clashes between farmers and the police, in which one farmer died and over 80 policemen were injured, have exposed 10 failures. Failures of intelligence and policing on the part of the government and the security forces, failures of crowd control, communication, sensitivity and leadership on the part of both the government and the protesting farmers, and failures of communication among others on the part of the farmers. After today's high drama and violence, is this the end of the road for any negotiations between the government and farmers, and have the farmers lost their moral high ground?
