Today is the last day of campaigning for candidates in Assam before the remaining 40 constituencies vote in the third phase of polling on April 6. The Congress-led Mahajoth is expected to have enough edge in the third phase, particularly in the Muslim majority areas. In relief for the BJP, the election commission on Saturday reduced the duration of the ban on its star campaigner and Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who will be campaigning for the party today. In his first exclusive interview after the poll body ban was lifted, Mr Sarma spoke to NDTV's Ratnadip Choudhury and said, "After five to six months, I will go to my constituency today. I feel good and I feel a little emotional."
