First Indian seaplane service launched

Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel has launched 'Jal Hans' – the country's first seaplane – at Juhu aerodrome in Mumbai, to improve connectivity and tourism in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the Bay of Bengal. The seaplane will be operational by the end of the year and will connect Port Blair with Havelock.
