Five COVID-19 patients at a leading private facility in Delhi have suffered from cytomegalovirus-related rectal bleeding during the second wave of the pandemic, the hospital authorities said. The hospital claimed that it was being reported for the "first time" in immunocompetent persons (people having a normal immune response). These patients reported at the facility 20-30 days after the diagnosis of Covid, doctors at the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital said.
