Fiscal Deficit Estimate At 4.8% Of GDP: FM
In her budget speech, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced measures pertaining to fiscal deficit in Budget 2025-26
For FY26, total receipts are projected at Rs 34.96 lakh crore, while total expenditure is estimated at Rs 50.65 lakh crore. Net tax receipts for FY26 are expected to reach Rs 28.37 lakh crore, with the fiscal deficit pegged at 4.4%.
