Flood-hit states begin blame game
As water blankets large parts of western and central India, states have begun trading accusations for what has become an annual disaster. Gujarat has blamed Maharashtra for releasing water from its dams into the Ukai dam, which is three kms from Surat, leaving it with no choice but to release about 19 lakh cusecs of water over the last two days.
