The flood-affected residents are moving towards safer locations amid a severe shortage of basic essentials including food. The overflow of major rivers, including the Kosi, Gandak, and Bagmati, have resulted in devastating floods that have rendered thousands homeless and caused significant damage to homes, personal belongings, and crops.
